Sub Lt Abdulazeez Opeyemi Saliu

Sub Lieutenant AO Saliu was born on 8 June 1990. He hails from Offa Local Government Area of Kwara state. He attended Wesley Methodist Nursery and Primary School Kaduna between 1996 and 2001 where he obtained his first school leaving certificate. Thereafter he proceeded to Command Secondary School Jos Plateau State between 2000 and 2006 where he obtained his Senior Secondary School Certificate.  He was admitted into the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) Kaduna on 14    August 2009 as a member of the 61 RC to study Defence Economics and was later commissioned into the Nigerian Navy as a Sub Lieutenant on 13 September 2014.

He has served onboard various Naval Establishments both ashore and afloat, in various capacities, each of which he exhibited commitment, drive, courage, zeal to learn and consummate skill. Some of such appointments include; Watch Keeping Officer onboard NNS NWAMBA between 2014 and 2015 and DW CO NOP IDAH between 2015 and 2016; he later proceeded to NNS QUORRA Lagos for his Sub Technical Course between 2016 and 2017 and on completion of his Sub Technical Course he was appointed onboard NNS OBULA as a Watch Keeping Officer between 2017 and 2018, where he obtained his Watch keeping Certificate. Thereafter he was appointed to Naval War College Nigeria as Flag Lt to the Commandant.

Sub Lieutenant Saliu loves adventure, enjoys reading, playing table tennis, video games, volleyball and listening to music at his leisure time.
