Naval War College Nigeria Inaugurates Command Level Officers Course 5

Naval War College Nigeria (NWCN) has Inaugurated 21 participants drawn from the Navy for Command Level Officers Course (CLC) 5 billed to run for three weeks. The Course according to the Ag Commandant Commodore AO Ogunleye offers several benefits to officers in particular and to the service in general. The course which is designed for Mid-Level Officers is designed to prepare select officers of Lieutenant Commander and Commander Rank for command responsibility ashore and afloat. He added that the course is geared towards enhancing participants’ effectiveness in Command, Leadership and Management. During the inauguration of the course an inaugural lecture was delivered by the pioneer commandant of the College, Rear Admiral Thaaddeus Udofia (Rtd) . The lecture which was titled “Developing the Next Generation of Naval Leaders/Commanders” could not have come at a better time according to the Special Guest of Honour, Rear Admiral SK Ibrahim Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Naval Command. He urged the participants to take the course seriously as the course is geared towards making them professional leaders and commanders in their various fields.  The CLC  5 which commenced on 28 January 2022 is expected to last for a period of 3 weeks.
