On Monday, 8 September 2025, the participants of Naval Warfare Course (NWC) 9 of the Naval War College Nigeria (NWCN) conducted a graduation outreach to Blessed Hope and Faith Foster Home. The graduation outreach being part of the pre-graduation activities for the participants of NWC 9 was aimed at promoting civil-military relations, fostering community development, and reinforcing the Nigerian Navy’s commitment to national unity and social responsibility.
In his address, the Course President of NWC 9, Commander UF Abdullahi stated that the donation by the NWCN was part of the annual pre-graduation activities by the College to celebrate their graduation. He noted that the support was to provide hope to the children, remind the children that their current situation was not a determinant of their tomorrow and to inspire them for a brighter future.
In her response, the Matron of the orphanage home, Mrs. Nkoyo Anado appreciated the gesture of the NWCN delegation and the NWC 9 participants for identifying the Blessed Hope and Faith Foster Home for this year’s outreach. On behalf of the orphanage home, she extended prayers and best wishes to the College community.
The graduation outreach was a success and met its intended objectives. It not only brought smiles to the faces of the children but also fostered a spirit of unity and social consciousness among the graduating participants of NWC 9. The outreach ended with a group photograph.
