Commandant

Rear Admiral Mohammed Adamu Muye is a distinguished senior naval officer currently serving as the Ninth Commandant Naval War College Nigeria. He holds a Bachelor degree in Mathematics from the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna-Nigeria and a Higher National Diploma in Sports Management from the National Institute for Sports, Lagos-Nigeria. He also holds a Masters in Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria-Nigeria.

 

Rear Admiral MA Muye is an alumnus of the National Defence University, Islamabad-Pakistan, where he obtained a Masters degree in National Security and War Studies. The senior officer has held several operational, instructional and staff appointments in the course of his career. His operational experience in the Service commenced with his participation as a military observer to the United Nations Mission in Democratic Republic of Congo. He was later the pioneer Commanding Officer Nigerian Navy Ship DORINA and subsequently, the pioneer Commanding Officer Naval Oupost IKURU. He was also the Commander Nigerian Navy Eastern Fleet. Rear Admiral Muye was also a Directing Staff and later a Chief Instructor at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Kaduna-Nigeria as well as a Directing Staff at National Defence College, Nigeria. As the Assistant Director Policy, Policy and Plans Branch and later Director Personnel Release at the Naval Headquarters, he contributed significantly to the formulation of several policies as well as strategic planning processes that drove remarkable advancements in the Nigerian Navy.

 

In recognition of his commitment and dedication to the Service, Admiral Muye has received several honours and awards. The honours and awards include Grand Service Star, Distinguished Fellow of the Defence College, Passed Staff Course Dagger and Command at Sea Badge award.

 

Rear Admiral Muye is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management. He is happily married to Maryam and the union is blessed with 4 children.
